6.1 D <br /> Page 15 <br /> Bob Dwyer, Nickelson Lamb Company, stated that this will be a pedestrian friendly, <br /> transit friendly, mixed-use type neighborhood on Woodside Road. He strongly urged #he <br /> Pianning Commission not to choose option 3,the comprehensive area-wide study. <br /> PUBLiC HEARING <br /> John Ohollerin, Redwood Ci#y resident, stated that he has na financial interest in the <br /> project and spoke about another project in San Carlos that was a good impact for the <br /> community. <br /> Victor Gallego, Redwood City resident, stated that the density wi11 be a big probtem far <br /> the communiEy because there is a bad traffic problem now and there are many <br /> accidents. <br /> Tim Fanelli, Redwoad City resident, believes that the whole neighborhood needs to be <br /> evaluated and investigated because he believes it is one of the most dangerous <br /> neighborhoods. <br /> Bob Sullivan, Redwood City resident, stated that his home is located directly behind the <br /> project and all the owners behind the building would lose some sun due to the shadow of <br /> the building. <br /> Craig Lemeer, Redwood City residen# and board af Directors member representing <br /> residents at SO Horgan Avenue, the proposed density increase as well as the parking <br /> variance, setback and open space short fall, wiU serve to further congest an already <br /> intolerable amount of traffic cangestion at that intersec#ion. The car wash and service <br /> station are already hazards to be dealt with each time someone has ta enter or exit <br /> Horgan Avenue during the day. The additionai vehicies exiting or entering a proposed <br /> garage are only going to bring more anxiety ta the people who have to try to negotiate <br /> these obstacles. He passed out a petition signed by 58 of the residents o# the 64 unit <br /> camplex. <br /> Ms. Riordan stateci that the ariginal public notice stated a parking shartage, but the <br /> developer has since come back with revised pians and there is now excessive parking. <br /> Joanne Kemist, Redwood City resident, she is a shopper and user of Woodside Road on <br /> a daily basis. She believes we need to create housing and woufd like to see this project <br /> moved forward. <br /> Pat Becker, Redwood Ci#y resident, is a supporter of additionai housing, she believes it <br /> is a beautiful project and it wil( imprave the look of the service station.
