■� LEAGUE ANNOUNCES 2005 POLICY COMMITTEE SCHEDULE The 2005 meeting schedule has been an- JanuarY 20 - 21. 2005 nounced for League policy committees. The eight Radisson Hotel, LAX standing policy committees will meet on Thursdays and Fridays in January, April and June in northem Thursday, January 20, 2005 and southem Califomia airport locations. As is the Community Servioes tradition, policy committees that met on Thursdays in Employee Relations 2004 will meet on F�ays in 2005 and committees Housing, Community & Econ. Dev. that met on Fridays in 2004 will likewise meet on Public Safety Thursdays in 2005. Friday, January 21, 2005 We understand that sorne city officials prefer to Administrative Services avoid attending meetings at LAX. Ur�fortunatey, the Environmental Quality League was unable to secure spaoe at ather south- Revenue and Taxation em Califomia locations for the January meetings, Transp., Commun. � Public Works thus neoessitating the LAX location. The June meeting in southem Califomia will be in Ontario. In Apri17 - 8, 2005 addition, we have done our best to avoid coriflicting Doubletree Hotel, San Jose Airport policy committee meetings with those of other organiza6ons and the League's own events. First, decide what policy areas interest Environmental Quality you and thus on which policy committee y�u wish to Revenue and Taxation serve. Second, ask your Division or Department Transp., Commun. 8 Public Worics President to appoint you to that policy ccrn Third, if those slots are already filled, ask the League June 23 - 24, 2005 President to appoint you to a committee.
