5.i��� <br /> EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> The scope of this contract is to provide services for inspection, rebuilding, repairing and / or <br /> reconditioning pumps, as required, as well as new pumps for sanitary sewer lift stations in the <br /> system <br /> 1. City will be ordering some materials and or services on an as-needed basis several times <br /> a year. The usual quantity will be indicated in parenthesis under each item's quantity. <br /> 2. Complete disassemble and assembly of pumps within 1'/2 weeks, or a reasonable <br /> timeframe agreed to by the City, of pulling pump from service <br /> a. .Following disassembly and inspection provide PWS Supervisor, Sanitary Sewer <br /> Maintenance Section, whom will provide authorization to proceed with work with an <br /> inspection report. <br /> b. The City retains the right to inspect pumps during disassembly and inspection, and <br /> to inspect any and all replaced parts. <br /> 3. Inspections shall be conducted according to Consultant's Service 21-Point Check List, <br /> incorporated herein and attached as part of the scope of services, and include the <br /> following: <br /> a. Check oil levels g. Inspect wear rings <br /> b. Inspect for water in oil h. Inspect volute <br /> c. Change oil i. Inspect cable entry <br /> d. Inspect bearings for naise and j. Inspect O-Rings <br /> vibration k. Inspect mechanical seals <br /> e. Inspect for damaged cable I. Inspect bearings <br /> f. Inspect impeller m. Inspect rotoNstator <br /> 4. In the event of an emergency request for ITT Flygt submersible pump repair, <br /> Redwood City will require a(24) twenty four-hour replacement upon demand for any <br /> Flygt submersible pump(s). For clarification, the (24) twenty four-hour notification <br /> begins at the first minute of notification to contractor. <br /> 5. Redwood City Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Supervisor, Ray Bartolo (650-780-7470) <br /> is to be notified immediately in the event that any Flygt submersible pump(s) can not <br /> be repaired and/or provided within (24) twenty-four hours. <br /> 6. Quantities listed are based upon last year's usage and are approximate. City does <br /> not guarantee any minimum or maximum quantities. <br /> 7. All replacement parts must meet manufacturer's specifications.
