<br /> w. 7; A- '3 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY APPROVING THE MEMBERSHIP OF A RELOCATION APPEALS <br /> BOARD FOR THE CITY AND THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency") currently <br /> provides for a Relocation Appeals Board for individuals and businesses aggrieved by <br /> relocation decisions; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 204 of the Agency Rules and Regulations for <br /> Implementation of the California Relocation Assistance Law and Property Acquisition <br /> Procedures, adopted January 25, 1999, states that the Relocation Appeals Board shall <br /> consist of five members who shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to the approval of <br /> the City Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City (the "City") does not have separate <br /> procedures for relocation appeals and currently follows State relocation law as <br /> contained in 25 California Code of Regulations, Division 1, Chapter 6; and <br /> WHEREAS, State law permits the creation of a committee to hear formal <br /> relocation appeals; and <br /> WHEREAS, to provide for consistency between City and Agency procedures, the <br /> City desires to use the same board for formal relocation appeals as that used by the <br /> Agency; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Mayor has proposed that the City/Agency Relocation Appeals <br /> Board consist of the chairpersons of the following City bodies: the City Planning <br /> Commission, the Architectural Review Committee, the Historic Resources Advisory <br /> Board; the Board of Building Review and the Housing and Human Concerns <br /> Commission and that in the event that a chairperson is unable to serve, the vice <br /> chairperson of that body will be the member. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> 1. That the Relocation Appeals Board for the City of Redwood City and the <br /> Redwood City Redevelopment Agency is hereby created. <br /> Atty/Reso/Reso.1501 <br /> 110204 1 <br /> -- -r- <br />
