<br />~ //)- / <br /> <br />REPORT <br /> <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br /> <br />June 20, 2005 <br /> <br />Subject <br />Amendment #3 to the Agreement between the City of the Redwood City and the Redwood City <br />School District for After School Program Services (City providing services). <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Approve by motion and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment #3 to the Agreement <br />dated September 8, 2003 for After School Program Services that the Parks, Recreation and <br />Community Services provides. <br /> <br />Background <br />The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department provides recreation and <br />enrichment activities to approximately 800 children at eight after-school sites in Redwood City. <br />We bill the Redwood City SChbol District for staffing, supplies, coordination, etc. and are <br />reimbursed from 21st Century giant funds. <br /> <br />This Amendment was generated for three reasons: <br /> <br />1, A one time grant in the amount of $39,049.61 was recently awarded to the After-School <br />Program (in partnership with RWC2020, the City, and the Redwood City School District) <br />for the purpose of increased training opportunities for staff, purchasing laptop computers <br />for After-School Program Coordinators; and providing evaluation services to measure <br />program success which needs to be spent by June 30, 2005. <br /> <br />2.
