Bergeron <br />Judge of the Superior Court <br />Hall of Justice <br />400 County Center, 2 °d Floor <br />Redwood City, CA 94063 <br />Dear Judge Bergeron, <br />1 9 ? <br />6.1.D. - Page 16 <br />1301 Maple Street <br />Redwood City, CA 94063 <br />Telephone (650) 780 -7100 <br />FAX Line (650) 780 -7155 <br />On May, 21, 2011, the Redwood City City Council received the San Mateo County <br />Grand Jury report entitled "TASER Standardizing to Save Lives and Reduce Injuries." <br />The report contained seven "findings," eight "conclusions" and nine "recommendations." <br />Three of the seven "findings" were specific to other county law enforcement agencies <br />and do not require a response from Redwood City. Similarly, seven out of the nine <br />"recommendations" were agency specific with only two requiring a response from <br />Redwood City. <br />For the four applicable "findings," Council was to indicate one of the following: <br />1. Council agrees with the finding. <br />2. Council disagrees wholly or partially with the finding, in which case the <br />response shall specify the portion of the response that is disputed, and shall <br />include an explanation of the reasons therefore. <br />Additionally, for the two applicable "recommendations," Council was requested to <br />report one of the following actions: <br />The recommendation has been implemented, with a summary of the <br />implemented action. <br />2. The recommendation has not been implemented, but will be implemented in <br />the future, with a time frame for implementation. <br />3. The recommendation requires further analysis, with an explanation and the <br />scope and parameters of an analysis or study, and a time frame for the matter <br />to be prepared for discussion by the officer or director of the agency or <br />department being investigated or reviewed, including the governing body of <br />the public agency when applicable. This time frame shall not exceed six <br />months from the date of the publication of the Grand Jury report. <br />
