number of hours of sick leave provided will be the eligible employee's unused, accrued sick <br /> leave balance with San Carlos upon separation from employment, up to a maximum of two <br /> hundred (200) hours. <br /> Upon hire by Redwood City as Emergency Preparedness & Outreach Coordinator, Christy <br /> Adonis will be provided up to one hundred forty two and eighty five one hundredths(142.85) <br /> hours of accrued, unused San Carlos sick leave, provided that such sick leave is not eligible for <br /> annual sick leave cash out under Redwood City's policies and labor agreements, nor is such <br /> sick leave eligible for sick leave cash out for the first twelve (12) months of employment.The <br /> number of hours of sick leave provided will be Ms.Adonis' unused,accrued sick leave balance <br /> with San Carlos upon separation from employment, up to a maximum of one hundred forty <br /> two and eight five one hundredths(142.85) hours. <br /> Such sick leave will otherwise be eligible for cash out upon separation of employment from <br /> Redwood City following a minimum oftwelve(12)months of employment with Redwood City, <br /> in accordance with the applicable Redwood City MOU in affect at the time of separation. <br /> Nothing in the agreement(s) between the parties will create a vested right to a benefit <br /> provided by Redwood City or preclude the City of Redwood City from negotiating changes to <br /> the current sick leave cash out provided by applicable Redwood City policies and labor <br /> agreements. <br /> 2.10 PROBATIONARY PERIOD <br /> San Carlos Firefighters and Fire Captains hired by Redwood City in July 2013 in connection <br /> with the "Amended and Restated Agreement between Cities of Redwood City and San Carlos <br /> for Fire& Emergency Services"who are currently serving a probationary period will serve the <br /> remainder of the applicable probationary period upon hire by Redwood City. <br /> San Carlos Firefighters and Fire Captains hired by Redwood City in July 2013 in connection <br /> with the "Amended and Restated Agreement Between Cities Of Redwood City And San Carlos <br /> For Fire & Emergency Services"who have passed the City of San Carlos probationary period <br /> will not be required to serve an additional probationary period for Redwood City except due <br /> to promotion or other applicable personnel action. <br /> Upon hire by Redwood City, Christy Adonis will be subject to a twelve (12) month <br /> probationary period. <br /> 2.11 SALARY/SALARY STEPS <br /> Upon hire by Redwood City, employees will be placed at the following Redwood City salary <br /> step which reflects,at a minimum,the employee's current San Carlos salary: <br /> Firefi�hter:Step 1 <br /> Ryan Andrews <br /> Scott Boynton <br /> Jennifer Chaney <br /> Ryan Coy <br /> ATTY/AGR/2013.100/RWC-SAN CARLOS AGREEMENT TRANSFER OF PERSONNEL REV:06-18-13 VR Page 6 of 12 <br />
