provisions of Section 3700 of the California Labor Code (and any amendments <br />thereto or successor acts or statutes) and BFC shall furnish City with a certificate <br />evidencing such coverage together with a verification thereon as follows: <br /> <br /> "1 am aware of the provisions of Section 3700 of the <br /> California Labor Code which requires every employer to be insured <br /> against a liability for workers' compensation or to undertake self- <br /> insurance in accordance with the provision of that Code, and I will <br /> comply with such provisions before commencing the performance <br /> of work under this Agreement." <br /> <br />The BFC shall also maintain Employer's Liability coverage with minimum <br />limits of $2,000,000. <br /> <br /> Whether FELA or Workers' Compensation applies, BFC shall furnish the <br />City with the Certificate(s) of Insurance required hereunder pdor to the <br />commencement of work. The Certificate shall also provide that BFC's policy will <br />not be canceled or have coverage reduced without thirty (30) days prior written <br />notice. <br /> <br /> 2. Commercial General Liability Insurance. BFC shall, at its own <br />cost and expense, also procure and maintain Commercial General Liability <br />insurance which shall include as additional insureds the City of Redwood City, its <br />Councilmembers, officers, employees, and agents while acting in such capacity, <br />and their successors or assignees, as they now, or as they may hereafter be <br />constituted, singly, jointly, or severally. <br /> <br /> Insurance shall provide bodily injury and property damage coverage with a <br />combined single limit of at least $2,000,000 each occurrence or claim and a <br /> <br />Agmt-052 <br /> <br />05/06/97R 23 <br /> <br /> <br />
