N. The Architect shall assist the Owner as directed in preparing Supplemental Instructions with supporting documentation and data if deemed necessary by the Architect, for the Owner's approval and execution in accordance with the Contract Documents, and may authorize minor changes in the Work, not involving an adjustment in the Contract Sum or an extension of the Contract Time which are not inconsistent with the intent of the Contract Documents. O. Inspection shall consist of visual observations of materials, equipment, or construction work for the purpose of ascertaining that the work is in substantial conformance with the Contract Documents and design Intent. Such inspection shall not relieve the CM/GC in any way from his obligations and responsibilities under the Contract Documents. The Architect will prepare a written report of all project site visits. P. The Architect shall interpret and decide matters concerning performance of the Owner and CM/GC under the requirements of the Contract Documents on written request of either the Owner or CM/GC. The Architect's response to such requests shall be made with reasonable promptness and within any time limits agreed upon. The Architect will notify the Owner in writing of issues or efforts that may be beyond the Architect's scope of work. Q. Interpretation and decisions of the Architect shall be consistent with the intent of and reasonably inferable from the Contract Documents and shall be in writing or in the form of drawings. When making such interpretations and initial decisions, the Architect shall endeavor to secure faithful performance by both Owner and CM/GC, shall not show partiality to either, and shall not be liable for results of interpretations or decisions so rendered in good faith and in accordance with accepted professional standards. R. The Architect's decision on matters relating to aesthetic effect which are not expressly set forth in the Contract Documents are not final until reviewed by the Owner. S. The Architect shall render written opinions within a reasonable time on all claims, disputes or other matters in question between the Owner and CM/GC relating to the execution or progress of the Work as provided in the Contract Documents. T. Design team will perform one punch list inspection. The Architect only will follow-up with one back check inspection for the Design Team. All subsequent inspections requested by the CM/GC Team or the Owner, to verify contractor compliance with contract documents, will be provided by the Design Team as an additional service back-chargeable to the CM/GC Team. The architect will clearly define this requirement within project specifications. The "final review" of this project by the Architect shall consist of punchlist inspection only. Page 13 of 17
