-- COPY - <br /> RESOLUTION NO, ]3z42 <br /> <br /> RE~OLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION O: <br /> AGRE~.MENT' FOR VA HOMELESS TRANSITIONAL SHELTER <br /> <br /> (VETERANS WORKSHOP OF THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Veterans Workshop of the Veterans Administration. <br /> ("Contractor") conducts a transitional shelter program for homeless veterans, <br /> families and single persons who reside in the City of Redwood City (the <br /> "Program"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1997, and <br />ending June 30, 1998; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and <br />desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars <br />($15,000.00) from its Community Development Block Grant funds for the <br />foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been <br />presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
