ORIGINAL <br /> PURCHASE AGREEMENT '~ <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> PENINSULA HABITAT FOR HUMANITY <br /> FOR THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY <br /> (201 McEVOY STREET) <br /> <br /> /?..~ <br /> THiS AGREEMENT entered into . ./-~E. d~'_./¢ ,19@8, by and between the <br /> City of Redwood City, a Municipal ~u/o'rpo-rati0n of the State of California (hereafter <br /> referred to as "Seller") and Peninsula Habitat For Humanity (hereaffe~referred to <br /> as "Buyer"). ].~.~.-~ <br /> <br /> Seller agrees to sell and convey, and Buyer agrees to purchase, the real <br /> property situated in the City of Redwood City, San Mateo County, California, <br /> located at 201 McEvoy Street (hereafter referred to as "the Property"), and more <br /> particularly described in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and incorporated by <br /> reference, on the following terms and conditions: <br /> <br /> ARTICLE 1. PURCHASE PRICE <br /> <br /> Amount and Terms of Payment <br /> <br /> Section 1.01. The total purchase price of the Property is One Hundred Thirty-One <br /> Thousand Dollars ($131,000.00), payable by Buyer to Seller as follows: <br /> <br /> The purchase price shall be paid into escrow during business hours at least <br /> five.~r-~ :¢5~ d~ays prior to the close of escrow. This amount shall be payable to <br /> .,n cash, cert,.ed or cashier', check or wire transfer. <br /> <br />U <br /> Consequences of Buyer's Default <br /> <br /> Section 1.02. If Buyer defaults in the performance of this Agreement, the sum of <br /> Three Thousand Nine Hundred and Thirty Dollars ($3,930.00) shall be forfeited by <br /> Buyer as provided in Section 5.02. In the event this Agreement is terminated for <br /> any other reason, the deposit shall be refunded to Buyer pursuant to Section 3.03. <br /> <br /> ARTICLE 2. ESCROW <br /> <br /> Opening of Escrow <br /> <br /> Section 2.01.
