[ I ' - -. . - -°--°----° . -- - , duly carried and eateted <br /> , <br /> on che minuces, ic was ordered that prior to adoption of the Annual Budget <br /> for 1976-77 that staff be directed to obtain from the Personnel Department <br /> or wherever necessary what tlie actual retirement salaries are of the present <br /> 84 City retirees without reference to particular individuals. <br /> (CLARIFICATION: Mr. Fales a,dvised that staff would have to attempt to <br /> get the information referred�to in the motion from PERS and that the <br /> City has no control over whether or not it will be provided. <br /> City Controller Ference reminded Council that each jurisdiction which <br /> contracts for PERS and for wfiich the retiree..has worked pays a propor- <br /> tional share of the retirement income, observing that a Redwood City <br /> retiree on PERS may have worked more years for other jurisdictions, all <br /> of which would be contributing to the retirement income.
