1. The City of Redwood City should initiate con- <br /> sideration of possible extension of the new <br /> Dumbarton Bridge Access Road to the area of <br /> the Harbor Boulevard-Woodside Road freeway <br /> interchange. Such consideration should be <br /> conditioned as recommended by the Director <br /> of Public Works as follows: <br /> a, that the final alignment of this arterial <br /> would have to be approved by Redwood Cit�y; <br /> b. that a policy be approved by the State r <br /> garding future connections to the arteri�al <br /> oy ad�acent property owners and/or other <br /> City streets; <br /> c. that the realignment and reconstruction o` <br /> the existing streets be the responsibili�ty <br /> of the State <br /> 2. The City of Redwood City should clearly indi- <br /> cate to the Town of Atherton and the State o�f <br /> California that, baseo upon its analysis, <br /> Redwood City's consideration of such an access <br /> road extension will only be in the context of <br /> an addition to the Marsh Road access point and <br /> not as a substitute f�r the Marsh Road connec- <br /> tion• and <br /> 3. The matter o` further exten�ion of the new <br /> Dumbarton Brid�e Access Road to the vicinity <br /> of Harbor Boulevard-Woodside Road freeway <br /> interchan�e should be referred to staff °or <br /> further consideration and conversations with <br /> the State Pepartment of Transportation, and <br /> concurrently referred to the Planning Com- <br /> mission for consideration of possible amend- <br /> ments to the Land Use and Traffic Circulation <br /> elements o° the General Plan. <br /> �I <br />
