A 23 5% increase be granted by Redwood City for refuse collection <br /> service to Browning-Ferris Industries of San Mateo, Inc , effective <br /> September 1, 1980 <br /> "2 The refuse collection agreement be revised to provide for an automatic <br /> rate increase based on cost of living, with an independent rate review <br /> every three years, paid for by BFI, that would ad�ust rates upward if <br /> an 87.5� operating ratio was exceeded, or downward if the ratio falls <br /> below 85.0% The operating ratio is to be the net consolidated ratio <br /> excluding any intra-company profits charged as a cost to scavenger <br /> operations "), and <br /> that $42,200 be appropriated from unbudgeted reserves to cover the cost of a <br /> fall and a spring cleanup day in 1980-81 <br /> (NOTE Ctty Attorney Schricker advised that the necessary documentation <br /> required to implement Council direction will appear at a later date on <br /> the Consent Calendar.) <br /> CITY CLERK <br /> �7�r� <br />
