<br /> �and called attention to the large patient load there.
<br /> @ Mr. Rosselli urged that Council go on record with the Board of
<br /> Supervisors as-be�ng in favor of the Clinic remaim ng open. °
<br /> ^ �Discu�ssion�followed concerning the need to check constantly the
<br /> health of the many transients in the cortmunity, the fact that
<br /> many�of those who testified in fa�or of keeping Chope Hosp�tal
<br /> �open knew that in order to do so, the Board of Supervisors would
<br /> „ have to close the Fair�Oaks Clinic; the fact that'the matter
<br /> �_;is under, the��ur�sd�ction of the County and the City has'no
<br /> funds to offer to support the Clinic; and the very tiglit budget
<br /> of the County, of San Mateo. , ; ,�
<br /> �� MOTION .�Councilman Vega moved, seconded by Councilman Norris,
<br /> that the Council go on record in support of continuation of the
<br /> Fair Oaks family Health Center Clinic.
<br /> -� Councilman Norr�s 'stated that it is the intent
<br /> ,of the motion to recognize the need for the facility in that
<br /> ,, , location whether or not funds are presently available.

<br /> Mr. Rosselli suggested that if the need for the facil�ty is
<br /> '' recognized, federal funds may be available to the,County to
<br /> �•,, support it.
<br /> It was pointed out that federal f�ands are being used in the Fair
<br /> Oaks comnunity in connection with the Cortmunity Center, the
<br /> planned expansion of the Center for recreation uses and in the
