- � 4Ug <br /> City Clerk Hildebrand reported the Affidavit of Publication of Notice , <br /> of Hearing and the Affidavit of Mailing are on file in her office <br /> Merrit Sher representing Terranomics Development Corporation, ad- <br /> vised that well-known stores including Mervyn's Department Store, <br /> Toys R Us and Wallpapers To Go as well as a restaurant are expected <br /> ' to be tenants in the proposed pro�ect. He stated he understands <br /> the design would be submitted to the Architectural Review Committee <br /> In response to question, Mr. Sher cited the various government <br /> agencies which have approved applications for needed permits to allow <br /> construction of the pro�ect. <br /> Comment was made concerning the possibility of emphasizing the his- <br /> toric nature of Redwood Creek in the development design. <br /> Mayor Leipzig invited anyone else present who wished to speak to do <br /> so No one present wished to speak , <br /> MOTION Councilman Barrett moved, seconded by Councilman Bury, to <br /> close the public hearing <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> The public hearing was closed at 8 40 p.m. <br /> MOTION Title having been read, Councilman Barrett introduced the <br /> following ordinance and moved, seconded by Councilman Biagi, its <br /> approval for first reading <br /> ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 60.1 5 TO ORDINANCE NO 1130, THE <br /> REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, REZONING PROPERTY IN THE <br /> � VICINITY OF VETERANS BOULEVARD AND WALNUT STREET <br /> The ord�nance was approved for first reading unam mously by roll <br /> call vote <br /> (The Council recessed from 8.45 to 8.50 p m) <br /> BINGO - proposed amendments <br /> City Manager Fales referred to h�s report of September 29, 1977 re- <br /> garding proposed amendments to the ordinance regulat�ng Bingo games <br /> He noted that AB101 adopted during the 1977 session of the Legisla- <br /> ture authorized local governments to permit certain additional non- <br /> profit organizations to conduct Bingo games and that senior citizen <br /> organizations had requested the City's Bingo ordinance be so amended <br /> MOTION Title having been read, Councilman Norris introduced the <br /> following ordinance and moved, seconded by Councilman Rhodes, its <br /> approval for first readin9. <br /> AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 8A AND ADDING CHAPTER 8A TO THE <br /> CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF <br /> BINGO 6AMES <br /> ' The ordinance was approved for first reading unanimously by roll <br /> call vote <br /> � <br /> -4- Reg.Mtg <br /> 10/3/77 <br /> �y <br />
