(Memo 4/25/78) <br /> Oral Cormnunications <br /> 1 Mr. I H. Kaye, San Mateo, advised that he wished to speak on <br /> the sub�ect of the Condominium Conversion Ordinance and had <br /> arrived at the meeting too late to be heard at the time the <br /> item was considered. He stated that he owns property at 1019 <br /> 15th Avenue, Redwood City, and indicated that his concern was <br /> with the provis�on �n the proposed ordinance which limited <br /> conversions to a minimum of twelve units, that he was aware <br /> of the option of applying for variance to the Code, but that <br /> it can be a compl�cated process. He suggested that the pro- <br /> posal discriminated against the smaller property owner with <br /> ' fewer than twelve units. <br /> Mr. Kaye was advised that the ordinance would be presented at <br /> the next meeting for its second read�ng, and was encouraged <br /> to put any suggestions he might have into writing before that <br /> time. He was also informed that a copy of the report by the <br /> City Manager on the sub,7ect was obtainable in the City Clerk's <br /> office <br /> CETA Title VI Pro�ects <br /> Council referred to the City Manager's report dated April 20, 1978 <br /> listing CETA Title VI pro,7ects being administered by the City, and <br /> discussion concerned whether some pro�ects listed are appropriate, <br /> the fact that it prov�des employment, and that these are currently <br /> functioning pro�ects. <br /> Public or Private Ownership of Ox Mountain Sanitary Landfill <br /> Councilman Bury, representing the City on the Solid Waste Advisory <br /> Committee, reported briefly on the most recent meeting of the task <br /> force and their consideration of the Ox Mountain disposal site, <br /> whether it would be practical to acquire the land for public use, <br /> ' in view of the fact that it has been operated under the County <br /> Parks Department and they have expressed their disinterest in <br /> acquiring the land with Park funds, that it is in private owner- <br /> ship with a 20-year lease to public agencies, with nine years <br /> remaining, the suggestion that possibly an effort should be made <br /> -5- Reg.Mtg. <br /> 4/24/78 <br />
