BOARD OF SUPERVISORS CHAMB�RS <br /> GERA�D R CMANOLER 401 MARSHALL STREET <br /> MAFGUEft1TE LEIPtIG _ . <br /> B09 NOWRIS <br /> May 8, 1978 <br /> Regular Meeting � <br /> � The Council of the City of Redwood City met on this date at 7:30 p.m. <br /> with Mayor Barrett presiding. <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilman Leipzig. <br /> The Invocation was led by the Reverend Norman Chapman of Grace Bible <br /> Church <br /> Roll Call <br /> Councilmen present Biagi, Bury, Chandler, Leipzig, Rhodes and <br /> Mayor Barrett <br /> Councilmen absent Norris <br /> Officials and staff present City Manager Fales, City Attorney <br /> Schricker, Assistant City Manager Smith, City Clerk Hildebrand and <br /> Public Works Director Pusich, Planning Director Schroeter, Parks <br /> and Recreation Director Weeks, Chief Building Official Gyselbrecht, <br /> Buildings and Transportation D�rector Balsamo, Police Chief Bold ' <br /> Approval of Minutes - Mav 1, 1978 <br /> MOTION• Councilman Biagi moved, seconded by Councilman Bury, to <br /> approve the Minutes of the Executive Session and the City Council <br /> Meeting of May 1, 1978 as submitted. <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote, Councilman Rhodes <br /> abstaining. <br /> Civic Cultural Commission and Librar Board <br /> recommendation re proposed mural on Library entrance wall <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of May 4, 1978 regarding <br /> the proposed mural for the Library entrance wall and attaching recom- <br /> mendation from the City Librarian and the Director of Parks and <br /> Recreation on behalf of the Library Board and the Park and Recrea- <br /> tton Commission <br /> Parks and Recreation Director Weeks advised that the Commission is <br /> enthusiastic about the proposed mural and referred to a large color <br /> sketch posted in the room Mr Weeks introduced Mr Heidsiek of <br /> the Canada College Art Department and Ms. �ean Nixon, the principal , <br /> artist for the pro�ect, observing that the mural is a student pro�ect <br /> which will be accomplished with volunteer artists and materials to <br /> be supplied by the City <br /> Reg Mtg <br /> 5/8/78 <br />
