The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Vice Mayor Rhodes. The Invocation was led by the Reverend Norman Chapman of Grace Bible Church - Roll Call Councilmen present Biagi, Bury, Chandler, Leipzig, Norris, Rhodes and Mayor Barrett Councilmen absent None Officials and staff present City Manager Fales, City Attorney Schricker, Assistant City Manager Smith, City Clerk Hildebrand and Planning Director Schroeter, Chief Building Official Gyselbrecht, City Librarian Vollmayer, Buildings and Transportation Director , Balsamo, Police Chief Bold Approval of Minutes MOTION. Councilman Leipzig moved, seconded by Councilman Biagi, to approve as submitted the Minutes of the Budget Study Session of May 6, 1978 and the Minutes of the Group Interview Session and the City Council meeting of May 8, 1978 The motion carried unanimously by voice vote, Councilmen Norris and Biagi abstaining from the Minutes of the Group Interview Session of May 8 and Councilman Norris abstaining from the Minutes of the City Council Meeting of May 8 Administration of Oath of Office The Oath of Office was administered to Keith P Bautista, newly reappointed member of the Board of Building Review and to Christa K Govan, newly appointed member of the Civic Cultural Commission by City Clerk Hildebrand Mayor Barrett thanked Ms Govan and Mr Bautista for their willing- ' ness to serve the City in their appointments.
