3 � 4 �_44� 6ENERAL � Marshall and Stevens, Inc contract for aoDreisal services M/S Norris/Leipzig that Marshall and Stevens, Inc be notified that its contract with the C1ty will be terniinated effective December 31, 1978 Carried unanimously by vaice vote (MINUTE ORDER NO 78-232) Water SupD1Y - Redvrood Shores area ' Mayor Barrett advised of a request from Mobil Oil Estates (Redvrood) Ltd for an indica- tion of intent by the City regarding a long-term water supply to the Redvrood Shores area He noted that Council has taken a position wherein they had approved certain Capital Improvements, among them being the water supply and water mains, but that Mobil's New York office vrould like confirmation in writing Don Warren, President, Mobil Oil Estates (Redwood) Ltd , acknowtedged that the Council, s tTt n� Board of Directors for GID 1-64 in MaK had taken the action to authorize approval for various Capital Improvements for the District, including the long-term water service, but that his company has become uneasy about further investment in the District because from their perspective, at present there is no commi4nent to assure that Lhere will be long-term or expanded water supply, other than the action taken by the Board in May, that it will take tvro or more years to build the permanent water supply. that the present contract wtth Belmont Water Service runs out in 1980, and that any in- vestment of a ma,7or nature depends upon that water supply being built He advised of his substantial budget request for Redwrood Shores to the New York office for next year, and their approval is dependent on movement toward salving the long-term water problem M/S Norris/Leipzig to recognize that a long-term water service must be supplied to Redwood Shores, and that a letter be directed to Mobil Oil Estates by the City assuring i its intentions regarding long-term water service to the District Carried unanlmously by voice vote (MINU7E ORDER NO 78-233) ' 293 Oak Avenue oroJect Mayor Barrett advised of a request for consideration by the Council of minor changes to a planned development which had been previously approved Planning Director Schroeter advised that the Planned Devetopment has been approved by Council and the Tentative Map by the Planning Comm ssion Referring to the drewing ' displayed on a screen, he described the minor changes requested and indicated it was , hoped that it would be unnecessary for the developer to go through the entire public hearing process again to accomplish the changes, because time was important with respect to a loan City Attorney Schricker recommended that Council not take action of this kind, since it Ss outside the scope of its authority ADJOURNMENT M/5 Norris/Lhandler to ad,7ourn Carried u�am mously by voice vote Council ad,7ourned at 9 56 p m FRANCES I REGGETTS Deputy City Clerk Reg Mtg 10/2/78 ' Page 1 s ' �
