38� � AGENDA (continued) ACTION°TAKEN (continued) CONSENT CALENDAR (continued) � CONSENT CFLENDAR (continued) 9 Claim Charles Brumett, 1921 Brnvster, I personal allegedly caused by police MINUTE,ORDER NO 78-271 officers�during arrest Recommend refer to staff 10 Approval of warrants nos. 41,949 through 42,217 totaling $286,044 47, and authori- ',APProved zatton to make usual and necessary payment � , of'bidis through January 8; 1919 11 Council requests to attend meetings, if any None GENERAL General Improvement District No 1-64 'Advisory Commtttee Mayor Barrett noted that ,the initial term of the sub,7ect committee is to comnence in January 1979 and requested comnent from Council acting as the Board of Directors of the Distrtct concerntng the manner tn which the three residential members are to be appotnted, observing that the Comm ttee is to consist of one member to be selected by the Redwood Shores Homeowners Association, three members representing commercial or industrial enterprises within the District to be selected by the Board of Directors and ,three restdents of the District to be selected by the Board Mayor Barrett determined �that it is the consensus of the Board of Directors of the District that eachiBoard member will submit applications of residents the member wishes to,propose for appointment to the Committee, and the applications will then be reviewed by the entire Board and appointments made It was also requested that the City Clerk recirculate the City Manager's Report of October 9, 1978 relating to establishment of the Committee and also provide a supply of applicatians to each member (memo 12/19/78) Letter from Fireside Thrift of December 13 1978 relatina to bus stop conditions Counctlman Norris, Director of the San Mateo County Transit District, advised that he , has demanded that action be taken immediately by the District to clean up and maintatn the bus stops, particularly the one at the SP depot which was prevtously brought to the District's attention Councilman Norris stated that a man has been assigned to do so as a regular responsnbility Bicycle�Routes , Councilman Norris inquired concerm ng the possibilrty of the City's developing a bike pro,7ect for the Man na which might be submitted to the State for full funding City Manager Fales advised that the relativel� small amount the State expects to spend for bicycle pro,7ects must be div�ded among cYe 58 counties, and the amount a single city might be able to obtain would not meet the expense of developing a pro,7ect I'eg Mtg i2/18/78 I'age 4 '
