McGarvey venue and Alameda de las Pulgas <br /> In response to question, City Manager Fates advised that City staff <br /> ' is aware of the street light problems tn the sub�ect neighborhood, <br /> and advised that the City employs only one electrician who has been <br /> occupied with emergency situations during the recent storms. Mr. <br /> Fales advised that a complicated electrical problems exists in the <br /> area and work is proceeding to improve the situation. <br /> ' Improved curbs for handicapped persons <br /> Councilman Rhodes reported the curb�between Kaiser Hospital and <br /> Casa de Redwood on Veterans Boulevard is not accessible to wheel- <br /> chairs. City Manager Fales advised that funds are available in <br /> the budget to provide for curb cuts and that staff will imnediately <br /> investigate the curb situation at the location mentioned. <br /> (Memo 1/10/78) <br /> Peninsula Division - Lea ue of California Cities <br /> Mayor Leipzig advised she plans to attend the all day meeting of <br /> the Peninsula Division at the Ramada Inn in Santa Clara on Saturday, <br /> January 14, 1978 and urged other Council members to attend also. <br /> Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District <br /> Mayor Leipzig noted that the Agenda of MPROSD for the January 11, <br /> 1978 meeting was received today. Mayor Leipzig advised that the <br /> Port area was considered at the previous meet�ng on December 14, 1977 <br /> which was attended by Port Manager Fred DiPietro and Paul Freeman, <br /> his assistant. Mr. DiPietro presented the views of the Port Com- <br /> ' mission and the City in opposition to the District's intention of <br /> designating as "open space" in the MPROSD master plan lands owned <br /> by the Port and ant�cipated to be developed.
