He advised <br /> he will look at the use being made of Crompton Street. <br /> Y <br /> Resident 3550 Jefferson, suggested the center divider on Jefferson <br /> � is a problem and the curve needs to be reconstructed. It was ex- <br /> plained that Counc�l is aware of the difficulties in the area and . <br /> a reconstruction pro,7ect was included �n the Capital Improvement� <br /> Pro�ect Budget, but no funds are available to do the necessary work. <br /> Joan Nash, 3671 Farm Hill, stated she appreCiates the recent efforts <br /> b �, of the Police Department to reduce speed of traffic on Farm Hill, <br /> � r���ing that continuous monitoring is requ�red. Ms. Nash suggested <br /> tnat Farm h�ll should be regarded as a short residential street and , <br /> should not be compared with non-residential streets with regard to <br /> �ncidence of accidents and speeding. She urged that the Minor Sub- <br /> division be denied unt�l all traff�G problems in the area are solvea. " <br /> Juies Eichorn 6 Atherwood Place, represent�ng the Serpentine Pro- <br /> tection Leayue, urged Council to den�� ;,he application for Minor Sub- <br /> �ivision stating that no need exists ror su�h subdivision since the <br /> developer has stated he no longer plans to sell the property. Mr. <br /> ' E�chorn cortenented,concerning posstble develOpment of nearby property <br /> and urged that a study be made of all 7ands �n the area presently <br /> availa�le for development and that the Planning Commission be re <br /> ouested to plan and rezone those lands in a comprehensive manner. <br /> Mr Eichorn filed a letter from Roger Macfarlane, 1801 Waverly Street, <br /> Pa;o Alto relating to his concern for tt�� fr�tillary plant. 4 <br /> Jerry Hawley, 1073 Eden Bower, commented concerning the repor� of the <br /> City Attorney dated March 31, stating� that the developer has an option <br /> 9 to ourchase the land but it is presently owned by the Sequoia Union <br /> High School District Mr Hawley noted the Plann�ng Commission did <br /> not approve the proposed development. He urged Council to reverse <br /> zhe action of the Plar�ning CoRu���ssion in approving the Minor Sub- <br /> div�sion of the Farrr� Hil� site until rezoning action has been con- <br /> sidered , <br /> t <br /> , Robert Saint, 872 Chescerton, commented concerning the City Attorney's <br /> � report ofi March 31 ard suggested the sub�ect property is not zoned <br /> for "employment" as the area is designated on the General Plan Mr. ` <br /> Saint suggested that the residential port�on of the site is not con- , I <br /> sistent with the General Plan and urged denial of the Minor Subdivision. <br /> Mr. Saint suggested that the Council has proceeded unfairly and un- <br /> lawfuiiy � + <br /> , City Attorney Schricker advised that there has been nothing unlawful <br /> about any of the Council actios�•s w�th regard to the Farm Hill site, <br /> stating that wh�le the designation "employment" 7s ambiguous since <br /> no such zoning district exists, zhat the combination ot professional <br /> office and residential zom ng a=signed to the s is consistenti w�th <br /> t ' <br /> ' -3- �teg.Mtg <br /> o ; 4/3/78 <br /> � � � <br /> ,� , , � , -- �- <br /> : ' �� <br />
