42� <br /> MOTION WITHDRAWN Councilman Biagi, with the consent of his second, <br /> withdrew his motion <br /> (Council recessed from 8 45 to 8 55 p m) <br /> Mayor Leipzig determined that it is the consensus of Council to oppose ' <br /> AB 3461 unless it is amended within the provisions of SB 90 to sub- • <br /> vent the anticipated loss of revenue to cities. - <br /> MOTION Councilman Norris moved, seconded by Councilman Biagi, to <br /> accept Legislative Coirem ttee Report No 76-2 containing the follow- <br /> ing recommendations 1) oppose Proposition D, Mid-Peninsula Park <br /> District Annexation; 2) oppose AB 3819 (Arnett) Property Tax Exemption <br /> for Boats, 3) oppose AB 3348 (Chacon) Unfunded Mandated Housing <br /> Element Provisions. (NOTE Consensus referred to in preceding <br /> paragraph indicated opposition to AB 3461 (Torres) Inventory Tax <br /> Revenue Limitation also unless amended.) � <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> � <br /> (MINUTE ORDER NO 76-163) <br /> MOTION Councilman Rhodes moved, seconded by Councilman Barrett, to <br /> refer the Council recommendation of opposition to AB 3819 (Arnett) <br /> re Property Tax Exemption for Boats to the San Mateo Council of <br /> Mayors and request a statement of opposition from that Cou�ncil also. <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> (MINUTE ORDER NO 76-164) <br /> MOTION Councilman Bury moved, seconded by Councilman Barrett, to ' <br /> send a letter to Senator Gregorio regarding AB 2930'regarding improve- <br /> ments of benefits to city retirees which,is pending,before the State <br /> Senate to askrthat the bill be amended to provide latitude for city <br /> councils�to ansure equitable settlement for retirees at the lower <br /> end of the pay 'scale. <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> (MINUTE ORDER NO 76-165) <br /> Housinq Concerns Committee Report re Housing"Rehabil�tation Program <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of June 3, 1976 regarding <br /> the Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program and attaching a copy of the <br /> Program. , <br /> In response to question, City Attorney Schricker advised that at every <br /> stage of the Program, it would be reviewed along with the considerable <br /> review already gi5en to the Program.' <br /> Councilman Norris, Chairman of the Housing Concerns Committee, intro- <br /> duced Bob Corvin and Frank Thurman, the City's Housing"Improvement <br /> Advisors, and commended�them for their excellent work with the Com- <br /> mittee � <br /> In response to question, Mr Fales advised that bu�lding standards <br /> will be met with regard to any rehabilitation which takes place under <br /> the Program <br /> -5- <br /> Reg Mtg � � <br /> 6/7/76 <br />
