Miley, Jr , Burlingame, on the basis of their lowest qualified bid <br /> in the total amount of $85,150 <br /> MOTION Title having been read, Councilman Norris introduced the <br /> following resolution and moved, seconded by Councilman Rhodes, its <br /> adoption <br /> RESOLUTION NO 7658 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br /> MEZES PARK SECOND PHASE), REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED, <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK, AND DIRECTIN6 <br /> RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote <br /> Market Absorption Study for GID No 1-64 <br /> Assistant City Manager Smith referred to the Manager's report of <br /> July 29, 1976 regarding the sub�ect study and attaching report of <br /> the City Controller dated July 27 Mr Smith advised that repre- <br /> sentatives of Marshall and Stevens, Inc will appear before the <br /> Council to respond to questions as soon as a mutually convenient <br /> date can be arranged <br /> Councilman Norris stated for the record that because of his interest � <br /> in the Study he was invited to review it and did so, but that he did <br /> not act as representative of the Council and that any recommendations <br /> or suggestions he may have made regarding the Study were entirely <br /> from his own perspective <br /> MOTION Councilman Norris moved, seconded by Councilman Biagi, that <br /> Council approve payment to Marshall and Stevens, Inc for the Market <br /> Absorption Study for GID No 1-64, noting that Marshall and Stevens <br /> will be providing additional information as to methods used to es- <br /> tablish trends and what happens in making their pro�ections and <br /> specifically how the possible development of San Bruno Mountain, <br /> Su9ar Loaf and additional areas in Foster City will affect resi- <br /> dential absorption <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote <br /> (MINUTE ORDER NO 76-214) <br /> Consent Calendar <br /> Councilman Norris requested that the item relating to financial assis- <br /> tance to PROBE be considered separately, statin9 that he has some <br /> ob�ection to Paragraph 3 of the proposed agreement stating that "On <br /> or before September 1, 1976, 'Probe' shall submit to City a detailed <br /> program setting forth the activities it will provide and the goals ' <br /> it hopes to accomplish by these activittes during the term hereof " <br /> Councilman Norris advised that his concern is that PROBE is not <br /> -6- <br /> Reg Mtg. <br /> 8/2/76 <br />
