Miley, Jr , Burlingame, on the basis of their lowest qualified bid in the total amount of $85,150 MOTION Title having been read, Councilman Norris introduced the following resolution and moved, seconded by Councilman Rhodes, its adoption RESOLUTION NO 7658 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF MEZES PARK SECOND PHASE), REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK, AND DIRECTIN6 RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote Market Absorption Study for GID No 1-64 Assistant City Manager Smith referred to the Manager's report of July 29, 1976 regarding the sub�ect study and attaching report of the City Controller dated July 27 Mr Smith advised that repre- sentatives of Marshall and Stevens, Inc will appear before the Council to respond to questions as soon as a mutually convenient date can be arranged Councilman Norris stated for the record that because of his interest � in the Study he was invited to review it and did so, but that he did not act as representative of the Council and that any recommendations or suggestions he may have made regarding the Study were entirely from his own perspective MOTION Councilman Norris moved, seconded by Councilman Biagi, that Council approve payment to Marshall and Stevens, Inc for the Market Absorption Study for GID No 1-64, noting that Marshall and Stevens will be providing additional information as to methods used to es- tablish trends and what happens in making their pro�ections and specifically how the possible development of San Bruno Mountain, Su9ar Loaf and additional areas in Foster City will affect resi- dential absorption The motion carried unanimously by voice vote (MINUTE ORDER NO 76-214) Consent Calendar Councilman Norris requested that the item relating to financial assis- tance to PROBE be considered separately, statin9 that he has some ob�ection to Paragraph 3 of the proposed agreement stating that "On or before September 1, 1976, 'Probe' shall submit to City a detailed program setting forth the activities it will provide and the goals ' it hopes to accomplish by these activittes during the term hereof " Councilman Norris advised that his concern is that PROBE is not -6- Reg Mtg. 8/2/76
