! 52� <br /> � <br /> After Fifty Club regarding a senior citizen center, noting that <br /> copies were made and distributed to Council and appropriate staff <br /> members Mr Smith stated that he had reviewed Council minutes and <br /> other documents for the period mentioned and he does not find any <br /> � record confirming the statements in the letter relating to commit- <br /> ments with regard to a senior center. <br /> i <br /> City Attorney Schricker advised that independently of Mr. Smith, he <br /> has also reviewed Council minutes and finds no record to support the <br /> statements made in the letter Mr Schricker noted that in 1963 <br /> there was a deftnite decision that no exclusive accommodations would <br /> be made in the new Comnunity Activities Building with discussion <br /> being that it would be "illegal " <br /> Discussion followed concerning the furnishings and other gifts evi- <br /> dently contributed by the Club, the desire of the Club to make City <br /> facilities more usable for their members, the fact that any such <br /> gifts were voluntary, whether or not additional hours at factlities <br /> used by the Club would satisfy their needs at present, and the hopes <br /> and expectattons of all persons in anticipating construction of the <br /> CAB <br /> Ad�ournment <br /> MOTION Councilman Barrett moved, seconded by Councilman Norris, to <br /> ad,7ourn until 4 00 p.m., Monday, August 16, 1976 at the Community <br /> Activities Building at which time a �oint meeting will be held with <br /> the Planning Cormmssion <br /> , The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> The Council ad�ourned at 9 40 p m. <br /> � <br /> -8- <br /> Reg.Mtg <br /> 8/9/76 <br />
