�12 <br /> Ctty will accept for them In further response to question, <br /> Police Chief Bold advtsed that the City makes every effort possible <br /> to locate the owners of any stolen bicycles before offering them <br /> for auction <br /> MOTION Titles having been read, Councilman Henderson intro- <br /> duced the following resolutions and moved, seconded by Councilman ' <br /> Norris their adoption <br /> RESOLUTION NO 7578 DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY-OWNED <br /> PROPERTY SURPLUS, AND AUTHORIZING SALE THEREOF AT PUBLIC <br /> AUCTION <br /> RESOLUTION NO 7579 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZIN6 EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR AUCTION SERVICES <br /> The resolutions were adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> Request of San Mateo County re Emerald <br /> Lake Hills Sanitary Sewer System <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of April 2, 1976 re- <br /> garding the sub�ect request and attaching the report of the <br /> Director of Public Works dated March 19, noting that based upon <br /> the conclusions in the March 19 report it is recomnended that <br /> the Council approve the County's request sub�ect to development <br /> and execution of an agreement with the Councii which would contain <br /> the precise terms and conditions of such system use <br /> Director of Public Works Pusich advised that there are now 750 � <br /> homes in the area under consideration and the 9allona9e requested <br /> would permit maximum development of some 800 more at a future <br /> date <br /> Discussion followed and Mr Fales and Mr Pusich commented and <br /> replied to questions concerning whether the plan previously <br /> approved by Council contained 800 units, the undesirability of <br /> planning by non-planning methods, the requirements of South <br /> Bayside Sewage Authority with regard to establishing a basis for <br /> gallonage over that required for existing development; the fact <br /> that the County is only requesting permission from the City to <br /> utilize, under conditions to be established by the City, the <br /> City's sanitary sewer collection system for transporting sani- <br /> tary sewage to the SBSA outfall line, the need for meeting the <br /> SBSA filing deadltne, the City's role in plann�ng with regard <br /> to County areas, the poss�ble impact on Redwood City, if 800 <br /> units should be constructed in the Emerald Lake Hills area, and <br /> the need for including the units now if additional capacity for <br /> development is to be funded. <br /> Bob Eppler, Senior Civil Engineer, County of San Mateo En9ineerin9 <br /> Department, advised that the County Plannin9 staff has expressed <br /> concern also with regard to the possible future construction of <br /> 800 units, and observed that previous estimates were for 1,800 <br /> to 2,200 units Mr Eppler described the criteria used in ' <br /> arriving at the pro�ected 800 units in order to have a figure <br /> on which to base estimates of additional gallonage expected to <br /> -5- <br /> Reg Mtg <br /> 4/5/76 <br />
