RD-92-3 RD-92-03 RD 92-03 RD 92-3 RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING WHIPPLE AVENUE HOUSING PROJECT WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 2007, the City Council of the City of Redwood City adopted the Second Amendment of Redevelopment Project No. 2; and WHEREAS, one of the objectives of the Second Amendment was the provision of affordable housing in the expanded Project Area; and WHEREAS, the EIR for the Second Amendment determined that the provision of affordable housing in the expanded Project Area would have a beneficial effect; and WqtEREAS, one of the objectives of the Community Redevelopment Law is the provision of affordable housing in the community, a p~rpose for which each Redevelopment Agency is required to expend twenty percent of the tax increment it receives; and WHEREAS, each member of this Agency has reviewed and considered the Final EIR for the Second Amendment together with the Addendum to Final EIR prepared for the Whipple Avenue Housing Project, before making a decision with regard to such project; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, acting as the lead agency with respect to the Second Amendment and this project, as follows: 1. The Agency approves the Whipple Avenue Housing Project and authorizes the Executive Director and Agency Counsel to proceed therewith.
