BID ITEM 12 - CITY STANDARD TREE WELL AND TREE A. The contractor shall construct the city standard tree well per city standard detail Z- 15 as shown on the contact drawings and as directed by the City Engineer in the field. Unit price pa+d for this item shalf be inclusive of all materials, tools, and equipment necessary to install the tree well and tree complete and in place. Tree well shall not have irrigation. Contractor shall use the city standard tree grate, or approved equaL B. Individual components or elements of the system will not be measured for payment, but shall be included in the unit price paid for this item, and no additional compensation will be made therefore. Full compensation for this item shall include the installation of the tree well, grate, excavation, native soil planting mix, London Plane "Platanus x acerifolia" tree, and all appurtenant tools and materials necessary to install the tree well and tree complete and in place. City reserves the right to change the tree selection if there is limited availability. BID ITEM 13 - BIKE RACK A. City shall furnish the bike rack. This bid item is for installation only. Contractor shall retrieve the bike rack from the Public Works Services Department, located at 1400 Broadway. Contractor shall install the bike rack as shown on the plans, as directed by the City Engineer in the field, and as per the manufacturer's recommendations. B. Individual components or elements for this bid item will not be measured for payment, but shall be included in the contract unit price for this bid item, complete and in place, and no additional compensation will be made therefore. BID ITEM 14 - INLET PROTECTfON A. Contractor shall cover and protect all catch basins during construction. Concrete, grout, and mortar waste shall be stored away from the drainage inlet. Individual components or element for this bid item will not be measured for payment, but shall be included in the contract unit price for this bid item, complete in place, and no additional compensation will be made therefore. BID ITEM 15 - PAVEMENT LEGENDS A. The contractor shall install all new traffic lines, markings, and legends, as shown on the contract drawings, and as directed in the field by the City Engineer. B. Full compensation for the above work shall be made at the respective contract unit price, complete in place, and no additional compensation will be made _ therefore.
