The County grants the necessary permission to the City to do work within the <br /> County limits as herein described and shown on Exhibit"A." <br /> 2. The City wilt include in its contract for the above-described project slurry seal <br /> work of portions of Middlefield Road and Charter Street within the unincorporated limits of the <br /> County. <br /> 3. The City will award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder pursuant to the <br /> competitive bid processes as set forth in Chapter 2, Section VII of the Redwood City Code. The <br /> City agrees to notify the County of the successful bidder to whom the construction contract is <br /> awarded. <br /> 4. The City will award a contract for the complete slurry seal project, which shall <br /> include the work described above for the County portion of the roadway slurry seal work. The <br /> work to be performed shall be completed pursuant to and in accord with standard City <br /> specifications. <br /> 5. The construction contract shall require the contractor to obtain and maintain <br /> insurance and surety bonds as set forth in the City's standard public works contract Document <br /> 700 General Conditions, Part II. The contractor shall be required to comply with all applicable <br /> laws as set forth in the City's standard public works contract Document 700 General Conditions, <br /> Part VI. The contractor shall be required to name the City and the County as additional <br /> insureds. <br /> 6. Pursuant to paragraph 11, the County agrees to reimburse City the total cost <br /> incurred by the City for work on County facilities, including any contract Change Orders and <br /> project management costs, provided that said project management costs shall be ten percent <br /> (10%) of the construction contract and Change Order costs for work performed on County <br /> facilities. <br /> 7. The estimated maximum fiscal obligation for work performed on County facilities <br /> -- is $19,800.00.
