The motion wae seconded by Council- <br /> man Britschgi and on roll call was unanir�ouEly adopted. <br /> The next bill under diecussion was Asaembly Bill 80j, ac3opting zoning ordlnance <br /> regarding areas around airports, for t�rhich the League requeeted the <br /> approval of the Council. City Attorney McCarthy explained that.thie bill <br /> • merely rras an enablin� act to allom the cities to zone such areas. <br /> Councilm�.n Granger offered a resolution and noved its adoption aoorovin� <br /> Ascembly Bill 80j. The mo'tion 4,*t?s seconded by Councilman Ander�on and <br /> on roll ca11 was unanimously adopted. <br /> The Lea�ue requested aoproval of Assembly Bill �531 controlling rebuild.ing by <br /> private developers of blighted are�.s, elums, etc. Councilman Armstrong <br /> was of the opinion that thia bill wa� proposed primarily for larger <br /> ' citiee,_ in which opinion City Attorney MeCarthy conc�.arred but stated that <br /> by endorsing it it might help a sister c7.ty even thou�h it would not <br /> affect this city. Councilman Ander4on offered resolution and moved its <br /> ' adoptlon anprooing Assembly Bill 1531. The motion was seconded by Council- <br /> man McPlulty and on roll call wae una.nimously adopted. <br /> City Attorney McCa.rthy advised that copies of the resolutions rrould be <br /> forward_ed to our State As�emblynan and Senator and to the League. <br /> � Councilman Granger brought out the fact that some time ago he :�zd inquired <br /> about variou� booster p�unps and whether they vaere of any further use to <br /> the city. City Mant�er Mead advised that he has the list of these pumps <br /> but had not had time to atudy it. <br /> Councilman Granger advised that on Memorial Dr..y a Dr. l9hite was coming to <br /> , Red.wood City as a gueet on the program being prepared for that day and <br /> asked if it would be posaible for the city to nrovide transportation for <br /> him. City Manager hiead advised trat the city would do ao. <br /> Claims No. 5�0 to 5489 Snclusive in the amount oP ��3360 were approved and <br /> , ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman <br /> ' Fletcher.- Motion paeAed unanimously. <br /> Councilr.ian Bri�schgi offered resolution and moved its adoption ad,Journin� <br /> meeting out of respect to the memory of Lt.
