The ° Chief of Police �va.s asked. by members of the Council c�hether he believed that selling oY liquor at tne dances led to disturbances. Chief Collins replied � that he believed that v�herever liquor mas sold trouble n*ouI@ be apt_to .occur., ho�aever, he did not believe that it was in order for him to reoom- mend tha,t no liquor be sold at the dances, stating that ti�as a matter for the�� Council to decide and that if t;iere were any disturba,nces the Police De- partment �rould handle them. Councilman Ar�stror� and r.4ayor Hilton con- curred in this �nd both expressed. the oninion tha.t Foresters Hall had � been on a probationary basis for some time and did not believe the,y s�ould tie granted any more concessions. Councilman Anderaon concurred in this opinion and also for the reason that he believed all such establishments should. be treated as a whole.
