Dematteis said the fire hazard mi�ht <br /> have been there when the"inspection �va.s made but he believed the conditions have <br /> ' changed. Cit;� Attorney P.4eCarthy stated that he did not believe the fire chief, <br /> had recinded his opinion that there �a a fire haza..rd. Councilman Gran�;er asked. <br /> if the barn were the greatest complaint. Fire Chief Ryan replied th�t he was more <br /> interested in seeing the chicken sheds removed and he.believed the bar could be <br /> improved. City Attorney PdeCart:�,y a.sked. if they were a menace beca.use they a.re <br /> �vithin a reasonably close diatance to the adjoinin� homes and fences. Ghief Ryan <br /> a.greed vrith that and also s�id they ��rere a menace because they were so far from <br /> � the house in which people are livin�. Councilman Anderson e�lained that by hi.s <br /> motion he meant the matter to continue from month to month ��Jith no action being <br /> taken. He vrithdrew his motion and Councilman P2eNulty ���ithdrew his second. Counci_1- <br /> man Anderson moved the matter be dropped. Councilman Armstrong asked if the fence <br /> , should not be removed. It ��a.s the oninion of both Councilmen Andereon and Arit�- <br /> , ch�i that the fence vra.s not entirely on this proAerty and therefore not the respon- <br /> sibility of tdr. Rostani. There vr�.s no second to Councilman Anderson�s motion and <br /> he moved that the presen� �batement proceedings be dropped end the City Attorney <br /> be instructed to take the necessary steps to abr�te the fence.� C�uncilman Granger <br /> was of the opinion that the recommendations of the heads of the depa.rtments should <br /> ' be follotved, �vhile 0ouncilman Az^mstron� was of the opinion that �ccording to the <br /> testimony given the hazards as listed in the report ha,d been remove�. There was <br /> no second to Councilm2n Anderson�s motion.
