<br /> Ma,yor Hilton appointed Councilman Anderson to repla,ce Councilman Britschgi
<br /> on the Real Est�,te Committee, due to the latter's in2bility to serve on
<br /> account of absence from the city, and added Building Inspector Duncan to
<br /> ' tne commitiee.
<br /> On motion of Councilma.n Gra.ngex, seconded by Couacilman McNulty, a.nd unanimously
<br /> passed, Superintendent of Streets S�inter was instructed to make a..surve,y
<br /> and report at the next meeting on temnorary street repairs, nasticularly
<br /> in tne business district where sidewalks v�ere torn up a.nd renair ma.de by
<br /> the city, his idea being that rovith cement contractors ava,ila.ble now,
<br /> permanent repairs might be undertaken.
<br /> • Ciiy Attorney McCartriy reporting on condemnation suit to open Poplar Avenue to
<br /> Hudson Street, advised that Mr. Thoma.s J. Kennedy aad deeded nis lot to the
<br /> city for �250.00. Councilm�.n Anaerson offered a reeolution acceoting deed
<br /> to Lot 8, Block 1, Redwood Oaks, from T'r.omas J. Kennedy, and to Lot 9,
<br /> Block 1, Redwood Oaks from Esther �, Lunsm�n, seconded 'oy Councilma.n

<br /> closing one from Chief of Budget Accounts on Cemeteries oi the State of
<br /> Calif'ornia, to the effect that altnough Governor John B, lYeller in 1859,
<br /> had accented a trust of the cemtery for himself, no legislation had been
<br /> enacted to carry out the trust. On motion of Councilman Britschgi,
