W, HILTON <br /> � Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br /> In regard to action granting Taxi space to Luxor, Yellov� and Sequoia Cab Com- <br /> panies, City Pdana.ger Blorn reported that the attorneys for the cab companies <br /> had requested that action be deferred until the next meeting of the Council <br /> to allow time for the taxi companies to reach an agreement as to requested <br /> space. Councilman Granger expressed the opinion that it was his under- <br /> standing that the Chief of Police was to bring in a report on taxi epace <br /> 1 and that no individ�zal attention would be given to individual companies, <br /> Councilman �lerder moved, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, that the recom- <br /> mendation of the City Manager to defer action on ihis matter be approved <br /> and the raatter carried on the agenda. �totion passed unanimously. <br /> City Attorney MeCartny reported that he had conferred with Building Inepector <br /> Duncan in regard to drafting an ordinance prohibiting the erection of <br /> quonset huts and prefabric�ated houses. Building Inspector Duncan had also <br /> recommended tha.t tne building ordinance be further amended to provide for <br /> • operating under the 1945 edition of the buildino code instead of under the <br /> 1938 edition as at present. A further amendment covered the construetion <br /> of exterior walls when built next to an existing building, and the third <br /> amendment prohibited the erection of quonset huts or prefabricated housea <br /> ' except in the industrial district.
