Dodge. <br /> In the absence of City Clerk Dodge, City aianager Blom acted as City Glerk pro tem <br /> in accordance v�ith action taken by the Council at the previous meeting, <br /> Councilman P?erder moved, seconded by Councilman Granger, that the minutes of the <br /> meeting of June 3, 1946, be anproved as mailed: Under the question, City <br /> ' Attorney �HCCarthy advised that he had checked the Act governing the proceed- <br /> ing� for installing sanitary sev�ers and had discovered that it was not necea- <br /> sary to adopt a resolution of preliminary deter;nination £or such proceedings. <br /> He, therefore, suggested tha,t the minutes of the previous meeting be correc= <br /> ted to read that a resolution of intention be adopted to construct sanitary <br /> sevaers on Slalota Road. Councilma.n 4;'erder amended his mot�ion to include this <br /> correction vrith the approval of the second. Motion passed uanimously. <br /> • The oath of office �vas administered to the two newly appointed men;bers of the <br /> Planning Commission, Cuthbert B. Currie and G L. Bedbury. <br /> Notificatione of alcoholic beverage license anplicationa were received from the <br /> Sta.te Board of Equalization for off sale beer and tivine license in the name <br /> ' of Frank r,4. Garcia, 2231 E1 C2Jnino Real, and for an on sale general license <br /> ' in the name of l4arion P. Bates and Theodore 59. Carpenter, 814 2�ain Street. <br /> There were no objections voiced to the issuance of these licenses. <br /> Communication was received from C. M. Armstrong calling attention to extreme hazar-� <br /> dous traffic conditions existing at the intersection of Hudson Street and <br /> ' Redwood Avenue, and asking that stop signs be placed on Redtisood Avenue and <br /> caution signs on Hudson Street, City Manager Blom advieed tha.t he had dis- <br /> cussed this matter with Mr. Armstrong and other residents in that area and <br /> that, inasmuch as Hudson Street �a� to be widened to forty feet, he Mas • <br /> going to recommerd tnat atop signs be installed at all intersections on <br /> Hudson Street. He recommended that stop signe be placed at Redwood Avenue <br /> • before the street improvements were made on Hudson Street. Councilman <br /> � <br />
