HILTON
Mayor of the City of Redwood Gity
• City Manager Blom reported that in regard to financing improvements at the Yacht
Harbor, he and City Attorneq MeCarthy had attempted to find eome meane to
make the Yacht Harbor at least pa.rtially self-supporting. The rate other
communities charged for the rental of berths wae checked and he did not be-
lieve that if this city was to stay in line with the othere the rates could
1 be raised. City Attorney reCarthy had checked the poseibility of getting
funds from the 3tate, however, this possibility seemed rather remote. City
Attorney McCarthy stated that there are funde in the 9tate Park Board to
be used with local matching funds for recreational areas but he beliened it
would have to be for more general use than the Yacht Harbor. Councilman
' Swift concurred this opinion, having been a member of the 3tate Park
Board. Mr, Fredlund, commodore of the Yacht Club, appeared and spoke in
behalf of improvements being made at the Yacht Harbor. Othere appearing
were Mark Neebit of the Palo Alto Yacht Club and Mr, A, H. Davies of the
local club. There was considerable diecuseion in regard to where funds
• aould be obtained to finance such a project, it being the general opinion
\
