HILTON Mayor of the City of Redwood City � Councilman Armstrong stated that he had no wieh to sell bonds which will not be used for a long time but he did feel that some oY the pro�ecte which had been ' voted upon in the laet election should be begun, Upon the advice of City ' Manager Blom that a maximum of �280,000 oould be expended on these pro�ects for the balance of the year, he moved, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, that �200,000 of bonds be sold at this time with the hope and expectation that this e� can be used in thie year. Motion passed unanimouslq, • City Manager Blom reported that Heech�Street Between E1 Camino Real and 9tambaugh Street is in good condition ae'•far as a-temporary etreet is concerned. The street can be improved to a permanent status by construction of concrete curbs and gutters and a minimum of base conetruction. Councilman � Britschgi was of the opinion that this street and Lathrop Street should be put in a condition comparable to the other streets in the city, and moved, aeconded by Oouncilman Armstrong, that the City Manager be instructed to ' biing in a report at the nest meeting as to what would be required to make . this a permanent street, Motion paesed unanimously,. . Oouncilman Armatrong stated tha.t he believed the ordinance allowing chickens in tne first residential dietrict should be rescinded but that in view oY the present scarcity of eggs and.meat that perhaps the effective date of the ordinance enould be put ahead and suggested April 30th for the effective date and Councilman Fletcner moved, eeconded by Councilman Andereon, that �• tue matter be placed on the agenda for the next meeting, Motion passed � unanimously: � Communication was received from the Redwood City Planning Commiasion with several � • recommendatione.• 1, Application of M, Maciocco �to subdivide�Lot 8 in Slock , ' 12, Oak Knoll Manor, be granted subject to a modification of the eubdinieion , requested, tne<:modification being tne eubdiviaion of the easterly two-thirde of Lot 8 into two lote, 2, Application of VP. B. Lenaman to raise chiokens commercially at 1500 Gordon Avenue De denied. 3, Application of John Robb and otners to extend Hamilton 3treet to Baysnore Highway and to Pennsylvania Avenue be deferred until it can be coneidered in connection with the master ' plan. 4. Application of Mre. Taelma Baer to rezone Lots 6 and 7, Block 4, Ra.nge "C°, Mezesville frora second residential to buainese zone,� Action to be deferred to allow for a n'earing at the next meeting of the Planning Commission. 5, Propoeal to rezone property on both sides of Middlefield Road from Bradford Street to Bayshore Highwaq deferred for consideration • in connection with trie master plan.
