HILTON <br /> Mayor of the City of Redwood City � <br /> Councilman Armstrong stated that he had no wieh to sell bonds which will not be <br /> used for a long time but he did feel that some oY the pro�ecte which had been <br /> ' voted upon in the laet election should be begun, Upon the advice of City <br /> ' Manager Blom that a maximum of �280,000 oould be expended on these pro�ects <br /> for the balance of the year, he moved, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, that <br /> �200,000 of bonds be sold at this time with the hope and expectation that <br /> this e� can be used in thie year. Motion passed unanimouslq, <br /> • City Manager Blom reported that Heech�Street Between E1 Camino Real and 9tambaugh <br /> Street is in good condition ae'•far as a-temporary etreet is concerned. The <br /> street can be improved to a permanent status by construction of concrete <br /> curbs and gutters and a minimum of base conetruction. Councilman <br /> � Britschgi was of the opinion that this street and Lathrop Street should be <br /> put in a condition comparable to the other streets in the city, and moved, <br /> aeconded by Oouncilman Armstrong, that the City Manager be instructed to <br /> ' biing in a report at the nest meeting as to what would be required to make <br /> . this a permanent street, Motion paesed unanimously,. . <br /> Oouncilman Armatrong stated tha.t he believed the ordinance allowing chickens in <br /> tne first residential dietrict should be rescinded but that in view oY the <br /> present scarcity of eggs and.meat that perhaps the effective date of the <br /> ordinance enould be put ahead and suggested April 30th for the effective <br /> date and Councilman Fletcner moved, eeconded by Councilman Andereon, that <br /> �• tue matter be placed on the agenda for the next meeting, Motion passed <br /> � unanimously: <br /> � Communication was received from the Redwood City Planning Commiasion with several <br /> � • recommendatione.• 1, Application of M, Maciocco �to subdivide�Lot 8 in Slock , <br /> ' 12, Oak Knoll Manor, be granted subject to a modification of the eubdinieion <br /> , requested, tne<:modification being tne eubdiviaion of the easterly two-thirde <br /> of Lot 8 into two lote, 2, Application of VP.
