RE30LU.T ION No. 387 �"= '� AUTHORIZIAG EXECUTION OF CONTRACT PJITH COUNTY OF SAN MATEO ON BEHALF � OF NORTH FAIR OARS $EWER MAINTENANCE DI3TRICT� FOR JOINT CON3TRUCTIOA x AND MAINTENANCE OF $ANITARY 3E'NERAGE OUTFALL, PUMPING PLANT, AND �' TREATMENT VPORR$ FACILITIES. REBOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, San Mateo ' County, California, that lAHEREA3, this City is about to undertake the construction of a eani— tary sewerage outfall, pumping plant and treatment works eyetem, and the County of San Mateo, on behalf of the North Fair Oaks 3ewer Maintenance Dietrict, ia deeirous of joining with said City in the construction, use and maintenance thereof, for the purpose of conveying, treating and die— poeing of the eanitary eewage from eaid Dietrict; and ' YPHEREA9, it appears and is hereby found, determined and declared that it will be Por the best interest and general welfare of said City and said Diatrict to enter into a joint agreement for the joint conetruction, use and maintenance of eaid eanitary sewa.ge facilities; NOtiY, THEREFORE, it is ordered that eaid City make and enter into a contract with said County of San Mateo, in form a copy of which ie hereto attached and made a part hereof; and that the Mayor of eaid City is hereby authorized and directed to execute eaid agreement in triplicate in the name of' eaid Citp, and the City Clerk ie hereby authorized and direoted to • attest hie eignature, and to affix thereto the corporate seal of eaid City, I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of resolution adopted by the City Council of the City of Redwood Citq, California, at a meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of September, 1946, by the Yollowing vote of the members thereof: AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen: ARM3TRONG, BRIT9CH(3I, GRANGER, 3YiIFT, WERDER and Mayor HILTON. H LTO Mayor of the City of Redwood City � City Manager Blom advised that the addreaeograph machine used for water and tax bille was just about worn out and that it is possible to obtain a new machine for $931.65 plus 2-1/2� sales tax. The Addzeseograph Company will allow �25 � Yor the old macnine. Delivery can be made iinmediately. There ie no way the old macriine can be overhauld and he e.aked authorization to purchase the nevr machine. Councilman Swift moved, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, that the City Mana.ger be authorized to purchase a new addreseograph machine on the basis ae quoted by the City Manager. Under the question� Councilman Granger ' questioned whether bide had been received. City Attorney McCarthy advised that it vuas not necessary to inasmuch as the Charter required bide only on contracts. City Manager Blom pointed out that only one company would be able to bid on this machine, The motion passed unanimosuly. ' City Mana.ger Blom presented copies of proposed ordinance�establlsning a Traffic Safety Commi�eion, The matter wae laid over to allow the Counoll an oppor- tunity to studq the proposed ordinance. City Attorney McCarthy presented resolution accepting deed f rom James and Margaret Corbett to a strip oP land necessary foi the opening of Vera Anenue.
