A <br /> free parking area will be provided for 250 cars, No intoxicating drinke will <br /> be sold or allo�ved on the premisea, which provision will be enforced by <br /> ' special police, Councilman Fletcher�.moved, eeconded by Councilman MeNulty, <br /> that the,permit be granted subject to the plans being approved by the Build- <br /> ing Inspector, biotion passed unanimously. <br /> This was the.time set for hearing of protests of proposed improvementa on Beech <br /> Street. There were no written protests, however, City Manager Blom advised <br /> that he had had several telephone protests against doing this work and that <br /> if there is a possibility that a majority of the property ormers will object <br /> • when the final hearing is held, he would prefer not to expend the engineering <br /> effort required to preoare plans, City Attorney McCarthy advised that pro- <br /> tests to be recognized must be written, however, it wae the general.consensus <br /> that inaemuch as 3t wae known that there was a great deal of oppoeition to <br /> this proceeding that the matter be carried on the agenda. Councilman Fletcher <br /> ' moved, seconded by Councilman Anderson, that the matter be carried on the <br /> agenda. Councilman Armstrong suggeated that poet card notices be sent to <br /> interested property owners advising them that action will be taken at the <br /> meeting of March 18 and that written proteste muat be filed, Motion was <br /> 1 �.mended to include this suggestion and wae passed with Councilman Britechgi <br /> voting in the negative. <br /> Councilman Anderson moved, seconded by Councilman MeNulty, that affidavit of pub- <br /> lication of hearing on proposed improvementa on Beech 3treet be filed.
