10 /s /0i <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14 <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE 2001 -2002 SEWER <br />MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF BID <br />SECURITIES IN CONNECTION THEREWITH <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 14301, adopted August 13, 2001, the <br />City Clerk advertised for bids for the 2001 -2002 Sewer Main Replacement Project in the <br />City of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, in response to said advertisement, two bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined that all bids exceeded the estimated <br />amount for the project; and <br />WHEREAS, as a result thereof, this Council desires to exercise its reserved right <br />to reject all bids and to authorize and direct the City Clerk to return all bid securities <br />furnished by said bidders and in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders for said <br />improvements; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />The bids received in response to advertisement for bids made pursuant to <br />Resolution No. 14301 adopted August 13, 2001, for 2001 -2002 Sewer Main <br />Replacement Project is, and each of them are, hereby rejected; the City Clerk is hereby <br />authorized and directed to return to said bidders all bid securities furnished by them and <br />in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders for said improvement. <br />=:Atty2001Snared /Redwood /Council /Reso /Reno 1246 t <br />
