6.1.M. - Page 4 <br /> 2. MAINTENANCE SERVICES. <br /> (a) Redwood City shall provide Maintenance Services on an "as needed" <br /> basis based upon Fire Equipment manufacturer recommendations and upon request of San <br /> Carlos. San Carlos shall deliver its Fire Equipment to the Municipal Services Center for <br /> Maintenance Services and upon completion thereof, take delivery of said Fire Equipment within <br /> a reasonable time. <br /> (b) San Carlos may request Redwood City to transport any such Fire <br /> Equipment from San Mateo County to said Services Center and deliver said Fire Equipment to <br /> San Carlos upon completion of Maintenance Services therefor, in which event Redwood City <br /> shall provide such transporting services at San Carlos' sole cost and expense. <br /> (c) Further, San Carlos has sole authority and responsibility to schedule or to <br /> omit Maintenance Services for any particular motor vehicle or equipment. <br /> 3. COMPENSATION; COSTS; REVISIONS. San Carlos shall compensate <br /> Redwood City for labor furnished hereunder for Maintenance Services at the hourly rate of one- <br /> hundred-nineteen and 49/100 Dollars ($119.49), including common labor, skilled labor, trained <br /> mechanic's services or other labor or services necessary or appropriate for furnishing such <br /> Maintenance Services. San Carlos shall pay Redwood City for all parts and supplies furnished <br /> in connection with such Maintenance Services at the cost thereof to Redwood City plus fifteen <br /> percent (15%) for overhead and administrative costs. Redwood City shall submit monthly billing <br /> to San Carlos with a summary sheet and work orders for all work performed. The hourly rate <br /> will remain in effect for one year from the effective date of this Agreement and can be adjusted <br /> by Redwood City at any time thereafter with thirty (30) days written notice; provided, however, <br /> that in no event shall the increase or decrease exceed three percent (3%) each year. <br /> Notwithstanding the above, if Redwood City's costs escalate beyond the 3% increase due to <br /> changes in such things as the PERS contribution and/or employee healthcare costs, the Parties <br /> agree to meet and confer on the annual cost increase.
