Way Project. Since i may not be able to attend the h personally, I would like to express in ad�ance my support for tl�e appeal. As a neighbor of Glenwood Ave, I generally concur with the concerns exposed by the ap particular, I would like to emphasize two specific points: . * Page 5, third bullet, considerations about the reported "temporary" nature of the impact in contrast with, potentially, up to nine years of construction.- I am a recent homeowner in the neighborhood (moved in during May 2009), and this pro radically changes the expectations that I had when I purchased my property. Glenwood � cul-de-sac with a notably quiet park (Garret Park) and low traffic. These were important considerations for me since I am the fa#her of a 3-yr and 1-yr ald children, whose safety i concern. Should the de�elopment project take place as submitted in 2007, the quality of neighborhood wo�ld worsen for over �ine years as a result of increased noise, reduced � and potential landslides. Moreover, if Glenwood A�e were used fo access t�e constructic would experience significar�t traffic of heavy equipment (note that Lau�el Way Joint Venti withdrawn its 2a07 application, so we do not know what a new application would propasE regard). '" Page 6, second bullet, considerations about the effecti�e enforcement of the Miti� Monitoring and Reporting Plan. - I concurwith the ap�eal in that the Mitigation Measures accompanying the EIR, taken ali look challenging -to say the least-. This ortly reflects the complexity of the project in an en�ironmentally fragile area, oniy a mile away from Edgewood Park &� Natural Preser�e. only two examples tha# reflect the complexity of the MMRP: 8/16/2011
