AND LOADING; AND ADDING ARTICLE 29, REGARDING <br /> PERMITTED USES WITHIN CO (COMMERCIAL OFFICE) <br /> DISTRICT, REGARDING THE CREATION OF A NEW DISTRICT <br /> FOR LARGER SCALE OFFICE CENTERS ON ARTERIAL <br /> STREETS AND AREAS VISIBLE FROM U.S. HIGHWAY 101, TO <br /> ORDINANCE NO. '1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING <br /> ORDINANCE <br /> <br /> Whereas, on February 13, 2001, the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Redwood City recommended for City Council approval, certain amendments to <br />Ordinance No. 1130 of the City of Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, adopted <br />May 11, 1964, as amended (the "Zoning Ordinance"); and <br /> <br /> Whereas, the Planning Commission recommended for City Council <br />approval changes to Article 2 regarding changes to definitions of words, Article 3, <br />regarding the establishment and designation of districts, Article 11, regarding the <br />permitted uses within the PO (Professional Office) District, Article 12, regarding <br />the permitted uses within the CA (Central Administrative) District, Article 13, <br />regarding the permitted uses within the CN (Neighborhood Commercial) District, <br />Article 14, regarding the permitted uses within the CB (Central Business) District, <br />Article 15, regarding the permitted uses within the CG (General Commercial) <br />District, Article 16 regarding the permitted uses within the CP (Commercial Park) <br />District, Article 17, regarding the permitted uses within the IR (Industrial - <br />Restricted) District, Article 18, regarding the permitted uses within the IP <br />(Industrial Park) District, Article 19, regarding the permitted uses within the Gl <br />(General Industrial) District, Article 25 regarding the combination of districts, <br />Article 26, regarding the permitted uses within the CBR (Central Business Retail) <br />District, ^rticle 30 regulating off street parking and loading, and the addition of <br />Article 29 CO (Commercial Office) regarding the creation of a new district for <br />larger scale office centers on certain arterial streets and in areas with visibility <br />from U.S. Highway 101, to the Zoning Ordinance; and <br /> <br /> Whereas, this Council, having reviewed the recommendation of the <br />Planning Commission and having considered the evidence received at the <br />public hearing duly noticed and held for said prdposed rezoning, finds that <br />the proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance is in the public interest <br />and consistent with the purposes of the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br /> Now Therefore: <br /> <br /> The Council of Redwood City does ordain as follows: <br /> <br /> Ord-123 2 <br /> f:lsharedlredwoodlcouncil <br /> DES:rg <br /> 02/20/01 ;02/27/01 R <br /> <br /> 1130-310 <br /> <br /> <br />
