, <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br /> copies of permits listed below by the date of commencement of work. The work to be <br /> done shall conform to the requirements of all permits: <br /> a. The California State Department of Fish and_Game Project Conditions. <br /> Condition 2 requires that a three-foot buffer at the toe of each bank be left <br /> undisturbed. Condition 4 prohibits heavy equipment from operating from <br /> within the channel. Conditions 7 and 9 discuss silt control measures. This <br /> permit is effective through December 13, 2013. <br /> b. The Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) Waste Discharge <br /> Requirement (WDR) Waiver Conditions. In the past, the Board did not <br /> recommend issuance of a 401 Water Quality Certification for this project due <br /> to its low threat to water quality. The City of Menlo Park has submitted an <br /> application for 401 Water Quality Certification for this project and is awaiting <br /> their response. <br /> c. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) 404 authorization. In the past, <br /> the 404 authorization was not required if disposal was off-site and there <br /> were no violations of the Endangered Species Act. The City of Menlo Park <br /> has submitted an application to the USACE for this project and is awaiting <br /> their response. <br /> TRAFFIC CONTROL - POSTING AND NOTIFICATION AND MAINTAINING TRAFFIC: <br /> City of Menlo Park shall provide traffic control devices, e.g. cones, barricades, warning <br /> signs, etc., and other incidentals to control automobile traffic safely around the sites. <br /> The City of Menlo Park shall close the sidewalk next to Atherton Channel and re-direct <br /> pedestrian traffic during the days mobilization and work is in progress and while spoils <br /> are de-watered. The City of Redwood City shall handle worksite safety and vehicle <br /> traffic control if it is required, which shall comply with all City standards. Construction <br /> operations shall be conducted in such a manner to cause as little inconvenience to <br /> vehicle traffic as possible. <br /> CONSTRUCTION HOURS AND NOISE: Work hours shall be between 6:00 AM to 6:00 <br /> PM, Monday through Friday, and 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturdays, Sundays and <br /> Holidays, except when otherwise specified by the City Engineer. The City of Redwood <br /> City shall comply with City of Menlo Park Noise Ordinance 8.06. <br /> WORKER ACCESS TO FACILITIES: The City of Redwood City shall provide access to <br /> toilet facilities for its workers. There are no public facilities near the work site. <br /> POLLUTION CONTROL: The City of Redwood City shall follow all City NPDES <br /> requirements and Best Management Practices (e.g., straw or fiber rolls, storm drain <br /> filters) to keep sediment and miscellaneous litter and trash out of the Channel and storm <br /> drains. The City of Redwood City shall keep City right of way clean of sediment and <br /> debris, except for areas used for de-watering of spoils. After removal of de-watered <br /> spoils, the City of Redwood City shall leave the area in as clean a condition as it was <br /> before the work. <br />
