B. - Page 7 <br />ATTACHMENT <br />WHEREAS, the establishment of an Architectural Advisory Committee ( "AAC ") in <br />accordance with the provisions set forth herein will facilitate the decision - making process <br />relating to the approval of developments in the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Resolution Nos. 11497, 12977, and 13632 Rescinded Resolution No. 13632, <br />adopted by this Council on May 18, 1999, entitled, "Resolution Rescinding Resolutions No. <br />11497 and 12977 and Establishing Architectural Review Committee," shall be, and is hereby, <br />rescinded, except to as to the decision articulated in Resolution No. 13632 to rescind prior <br />resolutions relating to the Architectural Advisor Committee which action remains in effect and <br />undisturbed. The prior resolutions that were rescinded are as follows: Resolution No. 11497 <br />(adopted by this Council on March 26, 1991, entitled "Resolution Establishing Architectural <br />Advisory Committee, ") and Resolution No. 12977 (adopted by this Council on December 17, <br />entitled "Resolution Amending Section 2 of Resolution No. 11497, Establishing Architectural <br />Advisory Committee to Revise the Terms of Members Thereto ". <br />2. Architectural Advisory Committee The Architectural Advisory Committee of the <br />City of Redwood City shall consist of five members. All five members of the AAC shall be <br />licensed architects or landscape architects residing or working in the City of Redwood City, or its <br />sphere of influence (as described by and in the General Plan of the City of Redwood City). The <br />members of the committee shall be appointed by the Planning Commission following oral <br />interview and in consideration of professional qualifications and civic interests as the Planning <br />Commission deems appropriate. <br />3. Terms of Membership The term of office of each member of the Architectural <br />Advisory Committee shall be four (4) four years, expiring on May 31 of the fourth year; provided, <br />however, that appointments to the Committee shall be made such that terms shall expire in <br />even - numbered years. The members in good standing of the Architectural Review Committee <br />shall constitute the members of the Architectural Advisory Committee. Each member of the <br />Architectural Review Committee shall continue serving his /her term commenced as a member <br />of the Architectural Advisory Committee until the expiration of his /her term. <br />4. Meetings. The committee shall meet upon the call of the Community <br />Development Director of the City of Redwood City. All meetings shall be open to the public and <br />governed by the provisions of the Ralph M. Brown Act, Government Code Section 54950, and <br />following, and shall be held a time and place set by the Community Development Director. Two <br />members present shall constitute a quorum of the Committee for the transaction of business. <br />5. Officers. The Committee shall elect a chairperson who shall preside at all <br />meetings.
