This report addressed
issues related to the role of the SFO Airport Roundtable regarding aircraft noise
monitoring, community complaints about aircraft noise and vibration, and the makeup of
the Roundtable. The SFO Airport Roundtable is made up of cities and jurisdictions
deemed impacted by aircraft noise emanating from flights at San Francisco International
Airport.
Redwood City, while only one of 22 regular members of the SFO Airport Roundtable, is
required to submit a response to the Superior Court, indicating its position on each of
the Civil Grand Jury's findings and recommendations directed to member cities. Council
member Gee, as Redwood City's representative on the SFO Airport Roundtable,
contributed to this response, bringing the perspective of the entire Roundtable
subsequent to its most recent meeting, at which the Roundtable members discussed
the Grand Jury report.
ALTERNATIVES
N/A
FISCAL IMPACT
N/A
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
N/A
