I su�par� such a moratorium in the City of Redwoad City. <br /> In Sept�mber 2�06, the Riverside District Attorney's Office iss�ed an <br /> informational White Paper fitled Medical Marijuana: Histoty and Current <br /> Complicafions. In this report, the district at�orney's office r�oted #hat medical <br /> marijuarta dispensaries Y�ad a secandary effect on communities #hat inc[uded an <br /> increase in crime and nuisance relate� compfaints where dispensa�-ies operated. <br /> Ti�e report specificafiy cites home invasion robberies and murders wF�ich can be <br /> �ied to dispensaries and sto�e-front coape�atives. <br /> In April 2009, t#�� California Pafice C�tiefs Associa#ion, Task Force on Marijuana <br /> Di�pensari�s produced the White Paper on Manjuana Dispensaries, which <br /> similarly determined significant criminal acti��ty associated with medical <br /> marijuana dispensaries and the secandary impacts of nuisance type complaints <br /> that have accompanied marijuana disPensaries. <br /> Locally marijuarta dispensaries have had a negative irnpact on the cammunities <br /> in which they are located.
