Outreach and marketing throughout Redwood City. 200 6I30/2012 <br /> Renaissance will actively promote our Redwood City Entrepreneurship Training Program to <br /> the Redwood City community, targeting our efforts to reach un- and underemployed <br /> residents, minority and disabled populations. <br /> Renaissance will identify and meet with local organizations, such as social service agencies, <br /> nonprofit organizations, religious institutions, chambers of commerce, banks, government <br /> offices and other civic associations to promote the program and for client referrals. We will <br /> also conduct outreach through the Redwood City Pubiic Library, disfribute flyers throughout <br /> the communiry to raise awareness of the program, distribute Press Releases to local <br /> television, print and radio media, and offer 10 Launch Your Own Business Orientations to <br /> introduce potential clients to our program. All outreach will be conduded in English and <br /> Spanish to ensure we are reaching the full Redwood City community. <br /> 3. Ten Launch Your Own Business Orientations (five in English; five in Spanish.) 100 5/30I2012 <br /> Renaissance will offer 10 Launch Your Own Business Orientations. In these two-hour <br /> introductory sessions, participants will leam about the challenges, benefits and rewards of <br /> starting and sustaining a new small business, and discover the seven key success factors to <br /> help launch and run a successful business. These interactive seminars will include vital <br /> information about resources essential for aspiring new business owners. <br /> 4. Four, six-hour, two-part Personal Business Readiness Workshops (two in English 60 5/30/2012 <br /> and two in Spanish) <br /> Renaissance will offer four, six-hour, twa-part Personal Business Readiness workshops, <br /> twice each in English and Spanish. These optional workshops will help participants develop <br /> their business ideas, begin to determine business feasibility and outline their business <br /> models, and decide whether business ownership is right for them at this point in their lives. <br /> As a result of the Launch Your Own Business Orientation and Personal Business Readiness <br /> workshops, clients can begin to see themselves and believe in themselves as business <br /> owners, and each participant will be able to determine whether: <br /> • There is a market for their pradud or service <br /> • Their business has the ability to generate enough revenue to achieve his/her income goals <br /> • The day-to-day demands of the business can fit with the day-to-day demands in their lives <br /> 5.
