TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION (SEIU) LOCAL 521 <br /> 22.6 Vision Care <br /> The City will contract with Vision Service Plan (VSP) or comparable vision care <br /> provider to provide vision care benefits for workers and their dependents. The <br /> Vision Service Plan B provides for an exam every 12 months, lenses every'2 <br /> months if needed, and frames every 2 years if needed. There is no deductible <br /> for workers, but a$20.00 per person deductible will apply to dependents each <br /> time benefits are available and will be paid by the worker. <br /> 22.7 Long Term Disability <br /> The City will contract to provide Long Term Disability Insurance for SEIU <br /> workers. The City, for the term of this agreement, will pay the full cost of the <br /> basic rate (basic rates provides for up to a$3,000 maximum monthly paqout). A <br /> buy-up option will be included to offer the worker the opportunity to increase their <br /> coverage, at his/her own expense, up to an additional $3,000 monthly payout. <br /> The total maximum monthly payout available will be $6,000. <br /> ARTICLE 23 - RETIREMENT <br /> 23.1 For workers hired prior to the 2011 amendment of the Citv's contract with <br /> CaIPERS, �retirement benefits for workers shall be those established by the <br /> Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) for Local Miscellaneous Members <br /> two and seven-tenths percent (2.7%) at age fifty-five (55) formula. For workers <br /> hired on or after the date of the 2011 amendment of the Citv's contract with <br /> CaIPERS, retirement benefits shall be those established bv the Public <br /> emplovee's Retirement Svstem (PERSI for Local Miscellaneous Members Two <br /> Percent (2 %1 at Sixtv (60) Formula. <br /> 23.2 For workers hired orior to the 2011 amendment of the Citv's contract with <br /> CaIPERS, �the City has contracted with PERS to provide the one (1) year <br /> highest compensation PERS retirement benefit. For workers hired on or after the <br /> date of the 2011 amendment of the Citv's contract with CaIPERS, the PERS <br /> retirement benefit will be calculated based on the last three vears of <br /> compensation. <br /> 23.3 The City shall pay the rate prescribed by the Public Employees' Retirement <br /> System for employer contributions to the Public Employees' Retirement System <br /> in accordance with the rules and regulations governing such employer <br /> contributions. <br /> 23.4 Each worker hired on or after the establishment of a second oension tier (2% at <br /> 6�will pay the worker's seven percent (7%) contribution to the Public <br /> Employees' Retirement System in accordance with the rules and regulations <br /> governing such contributions. <br /> � 1g 1( � Page 23 of 30 <br /> � ' til$ ) � � <br />
